Juncture Workshop With the University of Auckland
This interactive two-hour workshop invites participants to reconsider a largely invisible foundation of the modern corporation: why financial contributions from shareholders are embedded, protected, and accumulated as capital, while the essential contributions of employees, communities, governments, Indigenous peoples, and ecological systems generally remain external to its institutional architecture.
Drawing on Susan Watson and Billie Lythberg’s concept of Foundation Capital, the facilitators will introduce how double-entry bookkeeping and incorporation combined to create enduring corporate capital and, in doing so, established the structural foundations of shareholder privilege.
The workshop will conclude by developing principles and possibilities for more inclusive corporate architectures, directly supporting the conference’s goal of making multidimensional value visible, actionable, and capable of serving people, organizations, society, and ecosystems.
Journal of Innovation Management Workshop
This workshop is for scholars preparing submissions to the Journal of Innovation Management Special Issue who are seeking editorial guidance from guest editors and peer feedback. This event will also strengthen research design and provide academic career development.

Informal Tour of Kyoto
Valuism 2026 will conclude with a short cultural tour of the historic city of Kyoto. As the old capital of Japan, Kyoto is filled with historical sites, shrines, and natural wonders that are a must see for everyone visiting Japan.
