Call For Papers

The conference invites contributions that explore value as a multidimensional, systemic, and actionable concept. We particularly welcome papers that bridge theory and practice, connect business and society, and offer new approaches to value measurement, value creation, and value-based transformation.

AIMS

The conference aims to:

  1. Advance the academic and practical understanding of value creation and Valuism.

  2. Develop a common language for value across business, society, and ecosystems.

  3. Explore how value can be measured, communicated, and sustained.

  4. Encourage interdisciplinary dialogue among scholars, practitioners, and policymakers.

  5. Promote frameworks that reduce value destruction and increase sustainable, inclusive, and regenerative value creation.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Submissions may address, but are not limited to, the following themes:
-    Theories and foundations of value
-    Valuism as a new paradigm
-    Value creation & valuism
-    Measuring and managing value
-    Sustainability, climate, and regenerative value
-    Stakeholder and ecosystem value
-    Technology, AI, and digital value creation
-    Marketing, customer value, and experience
-    Strategy, innovation, and business models
-    Policy, education, and societal value
-    Cases and practitioner insights on value creation and valuism

GUIDELINES

Submissions should be original and not under review elsewhere at the time of submission.
-    Extended abstracts: 1,000-1,500 words
-    Case studies / practitioner papers: 2,500-5,000 words

 

All submissions should include: title, abstract, keywords, research question or practical problem addressed, methodology where applicable, main findings and contributions or implications, and references.

Publication opportunities
Selected papers may be considered for publication in associated journals.

ABOUT US >

The Value Research Center was officially established at Doshisha University in Kyoto Japan in November 2021. The purpose of this research center is to research and develop a system for measuring, monitoring, assessing and reporting on value creation and destruction impacts that organizations make on various stakeholder groups including (1) the organization itself, as well as its (2) shareholders or owners, (3) customers, (4) employees, (5) partners, the (6) society within which it operates and (7) the planet.
